Tender Manager to Renewable Energy

In ISC, we are market leaders in the design of offshore substations within the offshore wind industry and play a significant role in the design of WTG foundations and PtX.

As our new Tender Manager, you will be part of our Renewable Energy team responsible for the proposal and sales processes. Furthermore, you will support our offshore wind business with client & market insights in various geographies. You will report directly to our VP of Renewable Energy and will play an essential role in the market’s growth.

In this role, you will be the project owner of assigned processes and lead the overall tender process. You will ensure a well-organised and on-track tender process and manage all tasks, deadlines, documents, and data. You will work closely with Project Managers and their respective project teams to develop and produce high-quality proposals. 

Your tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Proactively leading the tender process (mainly offshore substations, WTG foundation projects and offshore PtX projects), project development & advisory proposals (time, quality, compliance, liability, personnel resources, budget, and governance) 
  • Managing tender projects incl. tender strategy, technical proposal, meetings, deliverables, deadlines, and preparation of all proposal materials
  • Ensuring compliance and quality of proposal documents
  • Managing input/output from various workstreams inside and outside the company throughout the tender development process and ensuring the quality of this work
  • Handling documentation and recording of client- and project-relevant data 
  • Support external interface management towards project partners, stakeholders, and clients
  • Assisting the VP of Renewable Energy on strategic decisions for markets etc. 
  • Analysing success factors, preparing presentations, and participating in further developing/implementation of tender management tools and other aids as part of best practice
  • Supporting the preparation of pre-qualification and proposals for existing or prospective clients
  • Optimising the tender process and establishing guidelines and templates for effective tender processes.

Your qualifications for the position 

To succeed in the role, we expect you to be customer-oriented and characterised by a self-reliant, reliable, and structured way of working. It is also essential that you have strong communication skills, both oral and written, and can communicate effectively with all various levels of management within the organisation as well as with potential clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and partners. 

Excellent English competencies are a must-have, as well as strong organisational skills and intercultural understanding. 

According to your professional competencies, we expect you to have:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, business communication, or similar / or a very motivated self-starter with a completed commercial apprenticeship
  • Some professional experience in project and/or tender management, preferably in the energy sector
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to apply project management disciplines to drive and achieve successful delivery within agreed parameters of timescale and quality
  • Experience with MS Project or other project management applications
  • Ability to digest and synthesise large volumes of information in relatively short periods.

It is an advantage if you have a technical background within the offshore field.
