Topside for EnBW Albatros Offshore Substation Installed
The Albatros OTM wind farm is located 105 km from the German coast in the German Bight. The offshore substation platform has a production capacity of 117 MW of renewable energy that can be sent ashore.
ISC succeeded in creating a minimalist design with a reduced amount of auxiliary systems. The top side weighs a total of 792 tons.
The Albatros substation platform (Siemens OTM Albatros) was developed by ISC for Siemens and is based on two open deck structures. In addition, ISC has created an innovative container solution for control rooms, GIS and crew rooms. An HV transformer and shunt reactor are located on the top deck. The offshore substation platform foundation consists of a monopole.
A heavy Lift Jack-Up Vessel Pacific Ospray loaded the top side in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
